We care deeply about our community, but also never really know how to get involved. We want to support local events that align with our values, but can’t when we don’t know they exist. We want to do more than wander through Menards or Target and wish for something more to do. In the last few years we have become friends with a couple of people that seem to consistently be doing fun, amazing things locally, and I always wonder, “wait, why didn’t I know about that?!” It can be so frustrating trying to find events on social media, and reading flyers at the library only offers so much . . .

We want to acknowledge that everyone has different ideas about what “family-friendly,” means, so we’ve decided we will write our policy based on what “family-friendly” means to our family and to most of the families we personally know. It may not align with your values & that’s okay. You are welcome here, but we understand if you choose not to join us in this endeavor.
