Frequently asked questions.

Why do you make people pay to share events

We ask people to pay to submit events firstly, because it costs us both time and money to run Iron Range Events. Secondly, we believe that the return on investment is HUGE, and that just announcing that your event is happening gets so many more people involved!

are there discounts for Businesses or organizations that host a lot of events?

Yes, this is something that we’re working on setting up and are happy to discuss with you . We LOVE seeing local businesses thrive, and we want to contribute to that by making it truly affordable. Please fill out the contact form at the bottom of the page and we’ll come up with a plan that works great for you!

what towns are considered part of Iron range events?

Our events area is approximately from Grand Rapids to Hoyt Lakes, and Ely to Cotton.

The bigger towns include: Virginia, Hibbing, Buhl, Chisholm, Gilbert, Biwabik, Aurora, Hoyt Lakes, Eveleth, Mt. Iron, Forbes, Cherry, Nashwauk, Keewatin, Palo, Makinen, Britt, (and many others). And the surrounding areas that we include for our events include: Grand Rapids, Ely, Cook, Cotton, Meadowlands, Tower, Embarrass, Side Lake, and everything in between. If your event is in a bit of an outlying location, don’t hesitate to send us a message and ask if we’d include it in our events!

Why do you mean by “family friendly” events?

We know that “family friendly” means different things to different people. For our full definition, please refer to our blog post: What makes an event Family Friendly.

are your events just for families/kids?

No! Family-friendly is a guideline for the types of events we promote (we don’t do events at bars, for example), but can include adult-only events as long as they meet our family friendly guidelines.
